Hey all! This is my photo narrative titled:
The Other Half
It has to be interpreted in the exact order above. The 12 photos illustrate how some things are meant to come in a pair and will be useless when it is left on its own.
The objects are:
a shoe
a sock
a bottle cap
a knife
an earring
& me
The same empty photo inserted between each object is to give the audience a sense of break and the same emptiness. I especially like the double meaning of the wing-shaped earring. (How can you fly with just one wing?)
The in and out of focus is also to bring out a sense of uncertainty and loss of focus with the loss of the other half.
Lemme know what you think!

This is my autobiography map/photo
The illustration is inspired by my love for tattoo-related illustrations. The scatter of bottles and stationary is to add a sense of disorder as well as another layer of disconnection from my sense of individuality.
Resurgam is latin for "rise from the ashes". This is an actual tattoo on me, and it signifies how I should always get back up from whatever mess I get myself into throughout life.
Roses are another obsession of mine, and through it's blooming stage to its death there's a meaning to it. I am illustrated to be blooming from the inside of a rose, but with an empty face/identity other than the combination of culture that I have lived in.
The broken pencil, the hands held together and the question mark signifies my future or lack thereof.
