Sham Shui Po in Pumpkin's eyes

How we measure the value of a city may not really depend on it's economic ability but it's spirit, toward life and toward politics. In sham Shui Po, I see bottom dwellers sell the cheapest things in Hong Kong, struggling to earn the life. I see unemployed men wandered through the street, not knowing what they are looking for. but I also see the the well-designed sculpture standing in the crowed. I also see the hand-made things full of creativity and I also see thier optimistic attitude toward life.
The defects will not obscure the virtues. Such is Sham Shui Po without grand scenery and famous shopping centers. While such is the most impressive place I've ever seen.

  1. nice pictures and very well-written reflection. But I think picture 5 is a bit generic in the sense that same scene can be seen in every market in Hong Kong. So if i were you, i might have selected something that tells more about the characteristic of sham shui po. it's a matter of photo-editing in photo-narration, which includes selection and exclusion.
